If you are unfamiliar with Off the Grid, you probably haven’t spent much time walking the streets of San Francisco and the greater Bay Area these past five years. Any time you see a collection of more than a couple food trucks in the same place, it’s a safe bet that Off the Grid put them there. The company was entirely bootstrapped, has been profitable since its inception, and eats up most of the oxygen in San Francisco’s food truck scene.
