These photos from Wrigley Field could just as easily have come from a post-apocalyptic movie

For The Win

The Chicago Cubs and the Los Angeles Dodgers were playing a game on Monday night, but no one was really paying attention. What with the impending doom looming overhead.

We’d all seen a lot of post-apocalyptic thrillers that looked vaguely like this, so obviously the end was nigh. So which was it? Was the stargate opening? Was Thanos mobilizing the invasion forces? Had Galactus arrived to devour the Earth whole?

Or Asteroids. It’s asteroids. Is it asteroids? ASTEROIDS.

“Mammatus clouds” was my next guess. Chicago had been on a tornado watch for most of the day, so that makes sense. Mammatus clouds usually mean that severe weather is passing so everyone at Wrigley is safe, but still. That sky looks downright spooky.
