With all that went down in the last episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D,” it might be a little difficult to remember that “What We Become” was only a mid-season finale. Daisy Johnson! Terrigenesis! Inhumans! The episode just brimmed with revelations. Needless to say, many of the questions asked at this season’s opener have been answered. I’ve talked a little about how the show could use the Inhuman angle, but — with the Inhumans officially confirmed by name — where do we go from here? What happens on “AoS” now that their best-kept secret has been revealed?

Jaimie Alexander, who played the Asgardian goddess in both Thor films, is shooting her appearance on the show. Unlike the tacked-on throw-away addition of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury last fall, Lee assured that Lady Sif’s role is “integral” to the episode.
Lee also teased that fans will find out who the Clairvoyant is this year, and that producers have a “very cool” plan for the back half of the season. Though the show’s initial ratings plummet was worrisome, the executive said he’s feeling “very good” about the show creatively.
If you’re a ratings watcher like I am, you’ll notice that ABC’s new show Agents of SHIELD has been consistent in the ratings but not overly huge like you’d expect with a large Marvel production. You also may have noticed that episode nine, which aired on November 27th, had the second biggest same day rating since the premier.
But what happened to episode ten, entitled “The Bridge”? For being a mid-season finale, it fared horribly in the ratings, dropping to a measly five million which is down nearly four million from the previous numbers.
People, such as myself, need to remember this article and realise that just because numbers don’t look right, doesn’t mean the show isn’t doing well.
